Mark Driskill

I strive to provide a supportive and respectful setting where each person can discuss his or her concerns and problems, and understand themselves better. I believe people are best helped by a therapist who establishes an accepting, empathic and authentic environment. My goal is to maintain unconditional positive regard for each client and to work with you to gain self-awareness and to discover new ways to respond to life's challenges.

I work with clients seeking to solve an immediate problem in short-term therapy and those exploring life issues in a longer-term therapeutic relationship. Whether anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, a relationship problem, or addiction, often talking about it in therapy is one of the best steps toward finding resolution.

I work primarily from a cognitive-behavioral model, and incorporate other therapeutic sources depending on the client and his or her needs. I am trained using EMDR therapy. I offer appointments weekday early mornings or evenings and on weekends at a convenient office in Cahaba Heights near the Summit.
