Mr. Martin J Dressman

“I'm 60 years old; happily married for 20 years; and the grateful parent of a 16 year-old daughter. I grew up in western Kansas and have lived in the Kansas City area since 1983. I'm a Vietnam Veteran. I've been a mental health provider for 20 years specializing in addiction and dual diagnosis syndromes. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Kansas in 1991.

I have experience in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings providing individual, couples, marital, family, and group counseling and life coaching.

I believe that addiction and other mental health syndromes are best approached and treated like other diseases - with respect, understanding, acceptance, compassion, and competent care. I believe persons experiencing these maladies are wonderful, gifted, moral, and able people who seek meaning and purpose in life.”
