“My job is to help you use your unique mix of strengths and skills to live your life well. I admire you for making that first call, your willingness to work. Therapy is a special time for coming to know yourself and discovering new options. If you're like most people, when you're in crisis you tend to get rigid and stuck, when instead you might better be resilient. I see myself as partly a therapist, partly a coach or mentor. I want to help you become open to possibilities for change. I believe in the value of talk.

I am eclectic and practical. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, talk therapy, a feeling-based approach. I can be goal and solution focused. I have had a lot of experience working with anxiety, depression, couple issues, negotiating/assertiveness skills, alcohol/drug problems and gay/lesbian concerns.

Besides being a psychotherapist, I also am a working artist. I try to be creative in my life and I encourage you to do the same. I like to help with procrastination and work issues. I have worked with many Cornell PhD candidates as they write their dissertations.”
