“I have worked with kids and their families for over 19 years. My favorite kids are strong willed, capable, and smart (academic and/or common sense). I see kids ranging from 3 year olds to college students. Some of the most common issues that I work with are, ADD/ADHD, Oppositional/Defiant, Depressed, Anxious,and Bipolar Disorders. Other general issues are poor social skills, difficulty with frustration, poor communication skills and parent-child conflict. Because so many of the families that I see are struggling with how to talk and live with each other easily I prefer to include parents whenever possible.
Because of my experience in working with so many kids I bring a very interactive and problem solving orientation to my practice. I believe in maximizing an individual's strengths and practicing new stategies outside of the therapy hour to reduce the time spent in therapy.
I have 2 Social Skills Play Groups for ages 3-Kindergarten and 1st through 3rd grade. For any age that is looking for an alternative to traditional treatment for ADD/ADHD we have PLAYATTENTION. A low stimulation computer game to help increase attention/focus. I also offer "Going from Good to Great Parenting"-a seminar series.”

Kids learn best how to be social through play. This is a play therapy group addressing coping skills such as anger management, frustration tolerance, reading body language and improving communication skills. Both boys and girls are welcome. Ages 3-8. Groups will be divided by age. Preschool to Kindergarten and 1st through 2nd grade. Parents have the option of a wrap up group to review the skills that the kids have practiced in the group. We meet for 6 consecutive weeks. Please call or email with any questions.
