“Merrie Pearl received her masters in Social Work from New York University. Upon graduating she worked with Dr.Jeffrey young at the Cognitive Therapy Center of NY, in New York City. At the NY Center Merrie was trained extensively in a new innovative therapy - Schema Therapy, developed by Dr.Jeffrey Young. She has been treating clients and training professionals for more than 9 years. Merrie is also on the faculty of the Cognitive Therapy Center and Schema Therapy Institute of New York, where she has trained and worked with Dr. Jeffrey Young since 1999.

Schema therapy integrates elements of cognitive therapy, behavior therapy, object relations, and gestalt therapy into one unified, systematic approach to treatment. Schema therapy has recently been blended with mindfulness meditation for clients who want to add a spiritual dimension to their lives.

Merrie is an exceptionally warm, caring person who has had tremendous success in helping the clients she has treated reach their goals.”
