Mr. Michael Ames

Clinical Social Work/Therapist , LCSW

(424) 570-1167
I specialize in treating children and adolescents who have behavioral problems and ADD (attention deficit disorder). I use the Nurtured Heart Approach which helps parents create healthy relationships with their children regardless of the current problems a child or teen is facing. I am an interactive & solution oriented therapist who provides short term individual; couples and family counseling that focuses on changing negative communication interactions of blaming and criticizing into positive communication patterns. I provide individual therapy for adults who have job-related stress; depression; anxiety and relationship issues. Most problems can be resolved within 4 to 6 sessions.
Most of us haven't learned positive communication skills. Within four sessions, I can help you become more assertive and solve conflicts without blaming or finding fault with your partner or children.
I provide a safe, comfortable setting which allows clients to explore their issues and quickly find solutions. Each client is encouraged to formulate specific goals which lead to positive change. I help clients discover their unique gifts and strengths.
