“MICHAEL D. SWAFFORD, PSY.D. Dr. Michael Swafford is a former Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University Of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is an experienced clinician. His interest is improving your quality of life. Dr. Swafford offers quality treatment for those experiencing depression, anxiety, anger management, substance use recovery, adult ADHD, marital difficulties. Evaluations are available on a case by case basis. Dr. Swafford will work with your primary care physician to achieve the best in physical and mental health well-being.

Dr. Swafford, a Licensed Professional Counselor, holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Therapeutic techniques include but are not limited to Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Relaxation and Stress Management. Evaluation services are available on an individual basis.Dr. Swafford is on staff at Edmond Medical Center (EMC) as an Allied Health Professional.

He is an approved supervisor for those seeking LPC Licensure. He is a former member of the Licensed Professional Counselor Advisory Board. He is a National Board Certified Counselor. Dr. Swafford is Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemical Dependency at the Universtiy of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.”
