“I feel passionate about helping people have hope for the future. Too often people feel hopeless and helpless when thinking about making changes in their lives. I believe, with a helping hand or fresh perspective, we can all discover the strengths and steps needed to make the changes needed to be happier and healthier.

I believe in structuring therapy based on the needs and personality of the individuals involved. I utilize play therapy techniques, Theraplay, family therapy techniques, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and experiential techniques. My most important strength is my nonjudgmental attitude and flexibility which allow me to help many different kinds of people.

For the past 17 years I have acted as a therapist, supervisor, expert consultant and trainer in the areas of abuse and trauma. I also have specilized training and personal experience (I have an adopted child) in the area of adoption and attachment issues.”
