I provide treatment for anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I also help couples in distress and offer family counseling, especially when a family member suffers from major mental illness. Additionally, I do a great deal of work surrounding African-American mental health.

Most of my practice is devoted to the treatment of OCD, particularly those suffering from unwanted obsessions. I use behavioral techniques to achieve rapid results. Most clients experience substantial relief after 15 treatment sessions. For people coming from out of town, I offer a 3.5 week intensive OCD program.

I am a clinical psychologist and faculty at the University of Louisville. I studied at MIT, UCLA, and UVa. For four years I was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania where I trained under Dr. Edna Foa. I have worked with the most severe disorders in hospital/inpatient settings.
