In my general psychotherapy practice of 30+ years, I help people experienceing difficult thoughts and feelings of a life transition, crisis, or trauma tapinto their own strengths & coping skills to restore balance to their lives, function in more satisfying ways, and improve their relationships. I work collaboratively with adults and adolescents as they increase self awareness, find their power, learn to communicate more effectively, and improve their relationships. I have experience with and enjoy working with diverse populations. I focus on clients' resiliency as groundwork for helping her/him to greater self-sufficiency.
I help survivors of incest and abuse navigate their complex and intense feelings, and connect with their strength and resiliency so they can heal. I help people in crisis and other life transitions bring balance back to their lives. I help anxious parents and their adult children to relate better with each other.
I am a certified gestalt therapist. I have earned advanced certification in critical incident stress management, as well as chemical dependency training.I work with individuals, couples (pre-marital, marital, and divorce counseling), and psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups; and do workplace stress and communications workshops as well as workplace crisis management (CISM).

I facilitate a safe environment in this on-going general psychotherapy process group where we can focus on what is happening in the group and how members are relating to one another. By engaging in supportive dialogue and expanding awareness, members can discover inner resources for greater self acceptance and relate in more satisfying ways. When this happens in group, participants can have better relationships outside the group.

When our children become adults, this new stage creates transitions for the family that can be exciting, bewildering, and even unexpectedly disappointing. Together with a group of licensed mental health professionals, we help parents of adult children develop essential new parenting skills to have more satisfying relationships with their adult children and their families.
