“I find that people often come to see me when they feel something isn't working in their life. I can help you be introspective and understand your feelings better--as well as working on practical ways to make changes. Therapy can help with your feelings of self-esteem, your relationships, and communication with others. Often people are looking for ways to manage your day-to-day stress, to understand and manage a longer-term loss, to figure out why things don't feel right. I offer techniques for managing these difficulties, while simultaneously understanding them better.

I have practiced for 10 years as a therapist in a variety of settings--hospital inpatient pschiatry, outpatient mental health clinic, family service center, and community outreach program. I use a collaborative approach to help people deal with depression, grief, anxiety, loss, trauma, stress, parenting issues, relationship problems, and identity issues.

In addition to a Masters in Social Work, I have a Masters in Theological Studies, which affirms the role of people's individual spiritual beliefs. I deeply respect those who feel that their faith is a source of strength, and when relevant, utilize spiritual beliefs to help better people's lives.”

Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult
