A collaborative psychotherapeutic relationship is created by Dr. Anvar to foster the healing of the wounded psyche in a safe, nurturing, sacred and empathic container. She weaves into this process her extensive and specialized training in Jungian Analysis, Transpersonal Psychology, Object Relations, and Cognitive Therapy. Furthermore, being a seasoned practitioner for over the past 30 years, she brings her skillful assistance into the treatment and resolution of various concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress management, addictions, creative blocks, life transitions or relationship issues. Her expertise, diverse approaches and tools are used as suit each individual's needs to resolve prevailing conflicts.

Dr. Anvar has trained with renowned authors and Jungian analysts June Singer, PhD and Kay Bradway, PhD specializing in dream work; with Transpersonal psychologists Robert Frager, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD in somatic body work/breath and meditation practices. She is past President of Marin County Psychological Association and past Ethics Liaison to California Psychological Association.

Dr. Anvar is also a visual artist having exhibited both nationally and locally. She has taught psychology of creativity at UC Berkeley at Dominican - helping students to resolve creative blocks. Additionally, her life journey as a cross-cultural person has added to her sensitivity and insight into its related issues, enabling her to provide understanding and appropriate treatment.
