Paul has been a licensed professional counselor since 2012 with over 20 years experience working in mental health treatment centers. Paul works with a variety of counseling issues that include: pervasive developmental conditions, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief as well as identity development. In many cases, Paul provides an experiential counseling experience that includes expressive arts and music therapies. Paul provides counseling services within a Christian context.
Paul has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and provides DBT adherent therapy as well as trauma-focused therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Paul provides services for those dealing with traumatic experiences throughout the lifespan including abuse, attachment issues, and other life-altering events.
Paul's passion to reach those affected by severe adverse life experiences led him to establish a non-profit organization called A Hope and A Future (AHAF). AHAF provides services for individuals and families who are seeking to respond more effectively to trauma and developmental challenges in order to build healthy spiritual, mental, and physical lives.
