I am currently a PhD candidate and have traveled extensively. I have worked in the mental health profession for over a decade working with a diverse clientele ranging from adolescents, geriatrics, psychiatrics, addictions, developmental disabilities, inpatient, outpatient, music therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, cross cultural populations, anger management, men's issues, Jungian and Freudian psychoanalysis and dream interpretation and sexuality. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing psychoanalysis, humanism and existentialism as core tenets and adhering to what the client's needs, strengths and weaknesses are in order to help him/her achieve a more crystallized sense of self and actualization.
Freudian and Jungian analysis are not en vogue in today's fast paced, quick fix, solution focused era. "Fast food" approaches to therapy are ideal for some clients. However, there are many out there who yearn for something more. Analysis correlates well with the mature, self-motivated and creative adult.
