Dr. Rene J Britt

Dr. Britt earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 1998. Dr. Britt is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Alabama Psychological Association. She has worked in the Auburn-Opelika community for the last 21 years. Her practice is focused on providing effective, research-based therapeutic treatment to address both clinical problems that arise as well as overwhelming stress in today's world. The clients seen in Dr. Britt's practice range from adolescence through adulthood.

Dr. Britt utilizes various treatment approaches depending on the presenting complaint. In most cases, she utilizes tools from cognitive therapy to address many of the problems that clients face. Treatment tends to be brief, often 8-10 sessions or less.

Dr. Britt's practice focuses primarily on adults, adolescents and college students. Issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and adustment are common. Dr. Britt also works with parents of college students to assist their adult children who are experiencing difficulties.
