I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over thirty years of experience counseling families and individuals from 2 years old to 80 plus. I am EMDR trained to treat many issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and grief. Using Person-Centered Counseling and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to explore and address distressing issues, special attention is given to creating a comfortable atmosphere for personal growth and self-awareness. Play Therapy and CBT Interventions help children and their parents better understand their issues while building self-esteem, teaching coping and anger management skills.
I use the Adaptive Information Processing Model along with EMDR to help individuals who are suffering from the effects of trauma. Issues causing distress are explored and processed giving an individual a chance to have a life free from overt suffering. I also use Play Therapy with children creating an environment of safety, compassion, and care.
As a counselor for more than 30 years, I have worked in a variety of settings and dealt with diverse client populations. I understand the issues that confront individuals and families.
