Addiction is "cunning, baffling, and powerful." Most people, if they could recover on their own, would. Most; however, need support. To ask for and accept help, the sufferer needs to know that they are working with someone who understands and has the skill and compassion to guide them through the recovery process. Desert Star ARC staff has years of experience in recovery and studied and practice what works. Treatment programs are evidence- and practice-based. The core of our philosophy is our Intensive Outpatient Program. We have different phases to meet the needs of our clients, differing in intensity and cost.
Our two programs: The Oasis Program: a co-occurring disorders program for adults who wish to examine and change their relationship with drugs, alcohol, and mental illness. The Grace Program: a 12 week program for adults who wish to examine sexual and relationship behavioral patterns that conflict with one's values.
Specialty services: Psychiatric services-assessment and medication management on site. Psychological testing and assessment. EMDR. Auricular Acupuncture twice monthly; Psychodrama group; and Individual Counseling for all clients enrolled. We offer Continuing Care group therapy which meets weekly; and Couples and Families in Recovery Workshops are also available.

Desert Star ARC also hosts the following groups:
Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 6pm - 9pm
The Oasis Program is an intensive outpatient program designed to meet the needs of our clients. Desert Star operates within a co-occurring disorders model, recognizing that an individual may have underlying or co-occurring mental health issues that may need to be addressed. We have a psychiatric nurse practitioner on staff. Our IOP is a six month program designed for individuals in treatment to meet, to deal and face up to drug and alcohol addiction and mental illness in a highly structured setting. For some, this may be an ideal alternative or step down from residential treatment.

Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6pm - 9pm
The 12 week program brings hope to those men and women struggling with sexual and relationship behavior patterns that conflict with their values and cause painful relationship, financial, spiritual and legal consequences. Although not a sex offender program The Grace Program is designed to nurture healthier relationships with self, sexuality, family and friends.
