Dr. Robert K Sawicky

Psychologist , PhD

(760) 712-4073
We are not so much defined by what happens to us in life, but rather by how we respond to what happens. Intuitively we may know problems are opportunities to change and to grow, but sometimes we feel stuck, anxious and disempowered. Please know emotional pain is the only thing in life likely to jump-start a process of personal transformation. You are likely on the threshold of making that inward turn--taking yourself more seriously by addressing the pain of the past, accepting responsibility for prior choices and formulating commitments to do some things differently from here forward.
With more than thirty-five years experience as a practicing psychologist, I am familiar with the process of personal transformation, the challenge of making a successful marriage relationship, and parenting. I have extensive experience addressing issues of depression, anxiety, social phobia, self-esteem, body image, sexual acting-out, and relationship struggles.
I am committed to collaboratively providing active psychological support to individuals, couples and families. Employing an individualized, eclectic approach to empower; individuals can grow to become more self trusting/accepting, couples can create greater intimacy and children can grow more independent. I hold degrees from Yale, UC Berkeley, Pepperdine, and CSPP.
