Who doesn't want happiness and a sense of satisfaction with self, relationships, and life overall? When challenges throw us off track, therapy offers an opportunity to understand obstacles and find solutions. If you are in the midst of thorny decisions, coping with change, healing from loss, recovering from trauma, or feeling depressed, fearful or overwhelmed, I'd like to help. I offer guidance, support, and a collaborative alliance for understanding oneself, clarifying goals, and mastering new skills to alleviate emotional distress and enhance life's meaning and richness.

My practice serves adults and couples with a wide variety of issues, from the interpersonal to the intra-personal. I also assist those grappling with psychological factors that often complicate decisions and behavior concerning money.

Dr. Lyman also holds a Master's in Public Adminstration and has a dozen years in executive management. A former Birmingham Career Woman of the Year and President of the Alabama Psychological Association, she has been listed in Who's Who in America.
