As a former Head of Guidance with the Toronto Board of Education, I know first-hand: Guidance Counsellors do NOT have the time to work individually with your child to thoroughly help him or her choose a career area & university/college to get that training. Making the WRONG choice will waste a year of their life and a year's tuition. Even worse, they likely will become discouraged and drop out (or fail) because they are in the WRONG subject area -- one that is not compatible with their interests & strengths. I offer Group testing & individual counselling sessions. FLAT RATE

This group is designed for people aged 20 - 50 who have had a spouse, partner, sibling, child or close friend die. I was suddenly widowed at the age of 34. Every bereavement group I went to was full of little old ladies with grey hair -- I did not belong. I could not relate. This group is aimed at the younger adults who are struggling with the loss of someone close to them. I also hold bereavement groups for Teens and Children (separately). We often use art therapy, enabling expression through artwork when they are unable to express themselves through words.

If you are the victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse or incest, you will have issues with intimacy in your future relationships. These will be on many levels, you may not even be aware of what the triggers are and why you react the way you do sometimes. It likely will affect your self-esteem, and how you behave in intimate situations. You may avoid intimacy, or be "hot and cold" and not know why. Through various means, including writing and art therapy, we will help you work through the stumbling blocks resulting in improved relationships with your partner / spouse.
