“Therapy can help you resolve life issues and create strategies for positive change. Through a therapeutic process that promotes self-awareness, healing and personal growth, you will develop a greater capacity for full and healthy living. I help individuals: · cope with stress, pain, illness, addiction and/or trauma · learn to manage feelings such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief or anger · resolve a particular life issue or transition, and · create healthier patterns of relating to others. I support couples to: · heal from a relationship crisis · develop greater fulfillment and healthier communication in their relationship · make relationship decisions and transitions.
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is client-centred and supportive. Through a focus on a client's awareness and experience of self in the "here and now", past issues and future concerns are addressed within the therapeutic relationship as they are experienced in the present.
As a registered social worker and as an affiliate of a registered psychologist, my fees are covered by most extended health plans. I also offer a sliding fee scale. I have both daytime and evening availability.”
