Many of the clients I counsel want assistance with depression, anxiety, self esteem concerns, relationship problems, work issues, feeling lonely or overwhelmed, trauma resolution, and self realization. It is my job as a therapist to provide a warm, supportive, and confidential space in which you can feel safe to explore your concerns. I strive to see each client for the unique and complex human being they are and guide them to realize more of their healthy genuine selves. Through acceptance and encouragement I help clients find new ways of understanding and coping with their dilemmas.

My philosophical orientation is one of empowering clients. One of my primary goals is to help individuals learn to trust in their innate selves and believe that they have the necessary resources within (though sometimes hidden) to resolve their distress. I offer reflection, feedback and skills training to effect change.

For me to be effective as a clinician I think it has been invaluable for me to engage in my own ongoing psychotherapy. Consequently much of what I bring to psychotherapy sessions is emotional maturity, extensive clinical training, rich and varied personal experience, self awareness and growth.
