My specialty areas include couples work, coping skills for depression and anxiety, sexual identity/orientation, spirituality/religious concerns, transitions in parenting (ex: adolescents to college), dealing with infidelity and divorce recovery. I use an integrated approach depending on the areas of need and individuals involved but have a family systems background.
While I see many individual clients, I also work with many couples and any variety of family configurations. I have experience in working with late adolescents/college students to all ages of adulthood. After 4pm/evening appointments are available and some weekends as needed in order to accommodate client work schedules.

Transitions in parenting a high school student to parenting a college student can be challenging. Some parents are elated -while others are clinging with all their might! This group is offered as a 3 part series or can be an on-going support group, depending upon interest. Topics include: the process of letting go, preparing your child and yourselves for this often emotional and exciting time in each life involved, family dynamics,how siblings left behind can be impacted, less full/empty nest, and ultimately how to parent from a distance - even if its down the road
