Sarah Schurman Eberly

People consider therapy for many reasons. Maybe you want to better understand yourself, make a change, need help reaching a goal or just want someone to talk to. My focus is on providing a non-judgmental, warm and supportive environment that allows this to happen. I work with individuals, families and groups.

I help people with concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma and substance abuse. Other specialties include life transitions, personal empowerment, overcoming current and historical obstacles, and building fulfilling lives. Therapy should be a supportive collaboration and partnership. Part of this process is identifying and building on your existing strengths; everybody has them!

Each person is unique, with different needs. I honor this by using a variety of techniques, including the action methods of psychodrama. Making changes can be scary and intimidating - let me help you make the process more comfortable! I trained and practiced in New York City and now live and work in New Orleans.
