Mr. Scott Cyphers

Counselor , MA , LCPC

(630) 239-1279
Within the framework of rational emotive therapy, I believe in cultivating a compassionate, supportive atmosphere in meeting my clients where they're at in life. I have over ten years experience in individual and couples/ family counseling, as well as helping adolescents find their place in the midst of an increasingly complex teen culture. My counseling approach also addresses aspects of personality that can interfere with relationships and intimacy with significant others.
My experience entails both outpatient community mental health and inpatient psychiatric settings. As well as working extensively with adults struggling with depression and anxiety issues, I have developed a method in working with the unique challenges adolescents face.
With a background in theological studies, I welcome people looking to explore religious and spiritual dimensions of personhood. I also have a passion for helping men develop their crucial role within the family context.
