Ms. Sharon Stark

Counselor , LPC , NCC

Finding a therapist you can relate to and feel comfortable working with is essential to doing good therapeutic work. I have a general practice and work with adults, children and adolescents. I utilize a variety of therapies to help individuals heal emotionally and live happier more joyfilled lives. Some of the more common techniques I use are skills to help people regulate their emotions and cope with stress in their lives. I also help individuals work on developing more positive thinking patterns and self-talk.
In addition, I am trained in EMDR therapy which is very effective in helping individuals heal from emotionally unresolved events in their lives. For children and adolescents I also incorporate some art therapy techniques to help them express feelings that are difficult to put into words.
One of my current passions is running Womens' Growth Groups using the creative arts to gain a deeper connection to ourselves and other women. Join us! It's fun!
