Upper Room Counseling Center

Thank you for your interest in seeing me for counseling. I am a mature woman with many life experiences enabling me to work well with adults of all ages. Although I am an ordained minister, spiritual matters are left entirely to your discreation. Also your life experiences, whatever they may be, will in no way color my uttemost regard for you as a person.

I see counseling as a process in which you, the client, and I, the counselor, having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.

I work from a Rogerian framework, which stresses acceptance of the individual in order to facilitate change. I hope to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which we can explore your situation, discuss its origins and consider possibilities for coping with the ramifications that are troubling you.
