Sierra Tucson is one of the nation's premier treatment programs for individuals suffering from addictions, chronic pain, mood disorders, sexual compulsivity, trauma, and other mental health issues. Sierra Tucson developed and utilizes the holistic Sierra Model® of treatment, which recognizes that everyone exists as mind, body, spirit, and emotions, and healing is needed for the whole person. Medical and psychiatric services combine with the 12-Step philosophy and a full range of traditional and experiential therapies, including EMDR, Equine-Assisted Therapy, and adventure therapy. Integrative Therapies such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Qigong, Reiki, Shiatsu, Somatic Experiencing®, and Yoga enhance the treatment process.

Detailed Program Description

An internationally renowned psychiatric hospital and treatment center, Sierra Tucson excels at treating coexisting disorders. Specialized treatment programs are offered for Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Pain Management, Sexual Compulsivity, Trauma Recovery, and complex Assessment and Diagnosis. The Progressions Program teaches advanced recovery skills to help patients prepare for the next level of recovery. The Family Program is included with each person's treatment to enhance long-term recovery and extend healing to the family. A hallmark of Sierra Tucson's treatment approach, the dynamic four-day Family Program is offered to the patient's family members ages 18 and over. A Couple's Workshop provides an opportunity for couples in the Family Program to tend to their relationship issues and receive educational and therapeutic support for recovery.

Philosophy and Alumni Services

Sierra Tucson's professional multidisciplinary team uses a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to develop innovative, individualized treatment plans. Western and Eastern Medicine are incorporated with 12-Step philosophy and a wide range of therapies to identify and resolve underlying issues. Alumni services are offered to patients and their families after treatment to provide support, encouragement, and resources. Located in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona, Sierra Tucson provides a natural healing environment with the highest level of confidentiality.
