“If you are worried about your drinking, drug use (prescription, or otherwise), or feel there is more to life than you are currently experiencing- there is help. Whether you are struggling with substance abuse, addictions, trauma,or relationship/family issues, I believe an active, collaborative approach can lead to lasting change and peace of mind. Drawing from 17 years in education and counseling professions,I use research-based approaches in which individuals are active participants in exploring their behaviors and emotions. Clients and therapist will create direct, thoughtful, and meaningful pathways to change. Please email or call for more information.
For the past four years, about 80% of my practice has been with individuals, couples, and families affected by substance abuse and addictions. I have done extensive research and therapy with GLBT clients. Also, having been a high school teacher/coach for 13 years, I enjoy working with adolescents.
I have co-authored a chapter in Counseling International Students in the United States (2007, ACA) and presented at ACA's International Conference (Montreal) on GLBT Day of Learning (2006). I am an instructor at St. Louis Community College and continue work on my PhD in Relationship and Family Therapy.”
