“You are unhappy when you do things habitually, repeating things that don't work. If you apply thoughts and actions from the past to deal with new challenges, it won't work well. Therapy at its best can help you be fully yourself, present to others and the world, which means meeting challenges anew, here and now. Freedom is only in the present; love occurs now, as does happiness. What you can do is remove obstacles, like contradiction and conflict that keep you from being here and now, the only time you really have you can actually do something about.

I use approaches that facilitate you being the expert in your life, not making me the authority. Real-time communication, experiential tools that help you get in better touch with yourself are used, including EMDR, Focusing, and clinical hypnosis. Psychotherapy is a place for developing, refining the art of living.

Learning about ourselves is constant; I've worked on understanding others and myself my whole career. I am comfortable working with people from all walks of life. From experience I know each has his/her unique way of living that works; I can help you find your unique way too.”
