Mr. Steven Alan Hassan

As a former cult member I help others who have been "unduly influenced." I am committed to helping people reclaim their personal power. I help people from all over the world who have found that mental health professionals, unless they are specialized in treating cult members, are at best a waste of time and resources, and worse, do further harm. A large part of my practice is short term work with former members. Another part of my practice is oriented to family and friends who would like to know how to help a loved one.

I have taken training programs in cognitive-behavioral techniques, family therapy, couple therapy, Internal Family Systems, Secure Attachment therapeutic approaches, hypnotherapy (I am member of asch.net) Short term, solution focused, positive psychology oriented.

I am based in Boston, Massachusetts, but do consultations via the telephone and skype (not therapy). I travel to see clients who can afford to bring me to them, but most people come to Boston for a week or two to work intensively with me.
