I offer counseling to adults, teens and families that combines strength-based approaches which respect each client's unique history and growth process. The goal at Northern Lights is to facilitate a client's inner drive for more joyful living. Whether your goals involve personal growth, less conflict and more rewarding relationship, family or work experiences, release from the haunting effects of the past, learning better alternatives to high-risk behaviors, or for teens, a safer more satisfying journey towards independence and adulthood, I am committed to facilitating your unique path in meeting those goals.

I have been extensively trained in helping clients with histories of overwheming experiences such as physical and sexual abuse, or as children of not having received all they needed from their caregivers. Mindful approaches allow clients to find joy in self-transformation without dependence on unreliable change in those around them.

Having worked for many years with teens and families, I speak to teens in language they relate to while also firmly supporting parents. I am trained to help parents who are frustrated or have given up to learn new ways to reduce conflict while repairing and strengthening connection with their teens.
