Mrs. Susan A Booth

Marriage & Family Therapist , LMFT , NCC , CPC

(706) 526-4518
I love to help people hear what they are telling themselves. I believe that people usually know the answer to their issues, but have trouble facing the ramifications to them and others of pursuing that resolution. I have a special interest in marriages and families but believe that issues that appear in individual clients are rooted in issues with their families or relationships. While I am a Christian, I follow the desires of the client with regard to the place God has (or doesn't have) in their mental well-being, usually not bringing up God unless the client does.
I use a variety of therapeutic methods in my practice suited to the issues at hand. I think that some just need a solution to a problem while others need to explore their true desires and expectations. This enables me to best treat each person individually.
Our practice provides weekend marriage intensives, providing on-site lodging and meals, 2 counselors and 14 hours of therapy. This has been used by couples preparing for marriage as well as those who come with the goal of a decision of whether or not to remain married.
