I am a licensed professional counselor and certified substance abuse counselor. I work with individuals who struggle with mental health issues, contemplating recovery, and clients interested in fostering personal growth. Therapy is a collaborative process and I work closely with my clients to identify their concerns and work towards fulfilling their goals as thoroughly as possible. I also offer "single session therapy" which is a "one at a time" solution focused approach, addressing immediate concerns.
My counseling orientation is eclectic and includes interpersonal, cognitive and behavioral therapy. The focus of our work together depends on the nature of the problem and what makes the most sense. My goal is to provide you with quality counseling services of the highest ethical and professional standards.
My practice integrates Mindfulness - balancing acceptance of the current moment and and push for change strategies. I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and substance abuse. I am knowledgeable about resources in the Northern Virginia area. I look forward to working with you.
