I have a kind,compassionate,pro-active approach. I integrate the leading, highly effective Mindfulness- based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, combined with psychodynamic therapy to treat pain, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD,relationship issues and health conditions. I address the interconnection of thoughts, behaviors, emotions, body senses and beliefs that may be exacerbating your conditions. I do have expertise with chronic health conditions including: Lyme, fibromyalgia, MCS, CFS, pain disorders, diabetes, emotional eating that may include depression, anxiety and stress. I also address various life issues: relationships,self-esteem, assertiveness, purpose and meaning, grief, spirituality, work, disability and support systems.
Patients often comment on how easy it is to talk with me and do not feel judged, which they find liberating. I foster beginning anew in the present moment. I have 30 years expertise with mindfulness-based meditation, visualization, mind-body-emotions awareness, expressive arts, healthy living, and stress reduction therapies.
I am a positve role model in living successfully with my own painful,auto-immune condition. This makes me resourceful, wise, and compassionate to various kinds of physical/emotional suffering. Therapy sessions are kept fragrance free of strongly scented personal products in order to accommodate those with chemical sensitivities, and asthma.
