When you suffer trauma, your world shatters. You are constantly on edge waiting for the next calamity. You are irritable, lonely and your "out-of-control" feelings scare you. Your family, friends seem distant. You want relief. The first step to recovery is finding ways to increase your sense of control over your emotions, your thoughts, your actions. Together we will develop a recovery plan that addresses protecting yourself from emotional triggers, strengthening your sense of personal safety, and providing you with ways to reconnect with your loved ones. My practice concentrates on adults, couples and some adolescents with depression, trauma-PTSD, grief/loss and relationship issues including parenting. I see some adults with hearing impairments, stuttering issues, and parents of special needs children. My former career as a speech pathologist gives me a unique perspective on clients' communication challenges.

For those of you who are generally satisfied with many aspects of your life but want to do some focused fine-tuning, I offer coaching to address challenging life transitions such as career changes, empty nesting, divorce.
