Mr. Theo Jones

I enjoy developing a respectful therapeutic relationship with each person I counsel, and feel that together we can take the next step in learning to function on a healthier level. I have a small private practice in Wilmington specializing in depression and anxiety disorders as well as other mental health and addiction problems. The therapeutic emphasis is on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement, and Mindfulness Meditation. I see clients in my office as well by phone and by Skype sessions.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mental Health (LPCMH), and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP) with an additional Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC). I have a Master's Degree in Psychology from Washington College, and worked as a counselor in various state agencies before starting my private practice.

My personal interests are in the creative arts, and I played drums and latin percussion in jazz bands for many years. Also, I learned Spanish by living in South America, and use my knowledge of Spanish and Latino cultures gained through many years as a bilingual counselor
