“Over the last 25 years, I have helped individuals, couples and families navigate difficult life passages. I use a depth-oriented approach which gently and thoroughly connects people to underlying emotional injury, and supports their natural capacity toward healing. A recognition of individual and family strengths is central to my work. I view therapy as collaborative. The direction of counselling is determined by what is meaningful to the individual/family. Goals are frequently reviewed to ensure that counselling continues to be effective. I offer help in areas such as relationship repair, addiction, trauma and loss.

Difficult early childhood experiences follow us, often changing the course of our relationships with others and with ourselves. Our particapation in the world feels constrained because we doubt the capacities of ourselves and we have difficutly trusting others. I assist in restoring a stronger connection to self and to others.

I work with traumatic loss and am trained in EMDR and CISD. In addition, I am trained in brief solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have a specialization in couple and family therapy at the masters level. I have extensive experience in the area of addiction.”
