I am an individual, couple, and family therapist with more than 30 years experience helping people find solutions to problems in living. I teach people how to be effective therapists at a local university graduate program as well as conducting workshops around the world and publishing extensively on how to help therapists be effective in helping people improve their marital, family, and business relationships. My private practice is intentionally small and individualized - My personal ethics are such that first interviews are designed for the client to have an opportunity to meet with me and decide if they think I can help them, and equally important, for me to decide if I think I can be of help. If I cannot help I will fire myself and recommend an appropriate referral. I do not accept insurance.

My specialization is brief therapy to solve intransigent relationship problems. I have extensive experience working with couples, families with child and adolsecent problems. I have had success with a wide range of problems including marital conflict, alcohol/substance abuse, realtionahip violence, psychosomatic difficulties, anxiety difficulties, reaction to loss, and others.

I believe we all do the best we can considering the context (s) we live in and the nature of relationships of which we are a part. Respect, dignity, and hope are at the heart of my work with people. Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you will help them become what they are capable of becoming. - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
