Are you ready to leave the past behind? I specialize in the treatment of adults with issues related to trauma/PTSD, mood and anxiety disorders, and addiction. Difficulties in these areas often contribute to relationship disturbances and problems at home, work, or school. After developing an understanding of your circumstances and challenges, together we will develop a treatment plan. Emphasis may be on reducing distress or addressing deeper patterns, trauma, or attachment issues. This may include learning skills, developing resources, gaining insight, or processing past events/memories.
I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (a body-focused talk therapy), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to mindfulness, I incorporate these approaches according to client need and preference. My approach emphasizes nonjudgment, compassion, gentle curiosity, and humor.
My intention is to provide a safe place for you to explore and learn new ways of being with yourself, with others, and in the world, and to increase your sense of empowerment and contentment in daily life.
