He received his master's degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Assumption College, Massachusetts, and his doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Boston University. His professional background includes several years of full-time undergraduate and graduate teaching and counseling experience at Franklin Pierce University, River College, Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Antioch New England Graduate School, Notre Dame College, and the University of New Hampshire. He has completed internships at Boston University and University of Massachusetts Medical Center at Worcester.

He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage Therapists, the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Psychological Associations, the American Psychological Associations, and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and a Fellow of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists.

He is staff affiliate at both Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.”
