If you're reading this you're probably unhappy and hoping to make a change. I work with folks experiencing a range of problems, from mild dissatisfaction to overwhelming despair. In my experience the critical factor is fit. The best way to see if a therapist is right for you is to have an initial meeting or phone consultation and see how you feel.

I work respectfully, helping people discover the problems behind their symptoms, allowing them to change how they feel and live. Although I work with a variety of people, over 50% of my practice involves treating fellow psychotherapists. Hopefully, this says something about the quality of my work.

I provide treatment ranging from one time consultations to intensive psychoanalysis. I am trained as both a psychologist and psychoanalyst. I am a fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association.For several years I was a clinical faculty member at the University of Vermont, teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate psychology students and interns.
