I am a licensed child psychologist who uses a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help you and your child make lasting change and build life skills. Therapy is solution-focused and dedicated to helping you and your child learn strategies to work through challenging behaviors and feelings so you feel more confident, less stressed/anxious, and generally happier. Specialty areas include parenting, tantrums, behavior problems, emotion regulation (i.e., big feelings), ADHD, anxiety, depression, working with gifted children, and coping/adjustment. CBT is a first line treatment for these issues. We work together to identify strategies that work best for you and your family.
When indicated, I do home/school visits and coordinate with other professionals. I am warm and empathetic, with a focus on solving problem areas while building resilience. I have background in helping children cope with chronic chronic health issues to increase functioning and build resilience.
