Hello! Congratulations on taking the first step toward a better quality of life. Getting help for depression, anxiety or any other psychological concern is a big step and I am excited to support you on your journey. My areas of particular interest and training include depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, mindfulness, race-based stress, and women's issues.
I believe that significant healing can occur in a safe, empowering, and supportive environment. Although my approach is eclectic, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Treatments are typically time-limited.
One of the main objectives of therapy is to recognize your thoughts and emotions and permit yourself to experience them. It's impossible to heal from something you're not willing to feel. During your therapy session, we will determine objectives together and work towards them. In addition, we will practice new skills and techniques during the session.
