Mrs. Stephanie Owensby

Counselor , MA , LPC , (KS), PLPC , (MO)

(816) 892-5487
My focus and joy is to work with children; bringing healing and hope in times of distress and crisis. Because a child communicates through play, I use Play Therapy techniques to help the child express and work through various circumstances. These circumstances can include, but are not limited to, varying degrees of grief, separation anxiety, physical or sexual abuse, behavior issues and family relationship struggles. It is my value to create a safe and welcoming environment for children and families to explore emotions and find healing and encouragement.
I received my Master's of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I have also completed classes at KC Play Therapy Institute and am well on my way to becoming a Registered Play Therapist, pending the completion of my supervision hours.
