I work with you in a personal, engaged manner, wondering together about sources of anxiety and pain, beginning wherever you are most comfortable. Working with dreams, memories, trauma past and present, and whatever comes to mind, my goal is to help you come to know and value your strengths and what is uniquely you, and--what gets in your way. I am experienced and comfortable working on problems of mood/depression/anxiety, difficulties surrounding infertility, the many challenges of relationships, hurdles at all levels of work and school life, attentional/ADD problems, parenting issues from birth onward, and parenting of multiples.
In addition to adults, I work with teen, college and young adult challenges: school pressure, family, relationships, independence, transition to post college life. Also, I have extensive experience with infertility, talking with you as a couple or individually about choices and how infertility may be affecting all aspects of your life and self esteem.
As a former teacher, I have insight into child/teen developmental issues for both therapy and parent counseling. And, as a former research consultant to large corporations, I have a feel for the demands of current corporate life and all the many issues that arise in a work environment.
