Mrs. Emma Schmidt

Counselor , MA , CST , CCSAS

(617) 286-6067
As a certified sex therapist I am dedicated to working with sexual concerns. People with sexual problems are as common as four out of ten women and three out of ten men according to the American Medical Association. Concerns such as premature ejaculation, arousal problems, pain during sex, pornography issues and frequency expectations, are all common problems that can affect your relationships and your self esteem. Also, people look for sex therapy as a means to resolve conflicts surrounding sex life, or for improving communication during sex. Sex therapy can benefit not only couples, but singles, parents, kids, and families.
Sex Therapy is a modality of therapy lead by a trained professional in the field of sex therapy to help an individual and/or couple with their sexual concerns. Through one hour sessions the client and I will explore sexual difficulties through dialogue in an open, relaxing and therapeutic environment.
Along with sex therapy, I specialize in female sexual addiction and have lead women's sexual addiction groups. In the past I wrote a weekly column "Sex Talk" on Cincychic.com. Currently, I am working on my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology.
