My expertise is with a broad range of mental health issues, such as mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance abuse. I also work with clients trying to navigate challenges they face in their interpersonal relationships and work related stress. My innate curiosity, knowledge and training has always fostered and promoted my work with clients of diverse backgrounds. In addition, I specialize in working with first responders battling recovery and/or mental health issues. I mostly work with patients ranging in age from teens to middle age.
I have worked the past 20 years in mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring practices treating clients who range from those looking to make changes for themselves and improve their ability to handle stress, to clients in severe crisis or various stages of recovery from addiction.
I mostly use a CBT approach, but what's most relevant to my work is I tailor my approach to the individual's needs. I provide a warm empathic approach but I am also direct and actively engaged.
