I believe that the challenges of life--the painful events and feelings which bring a person to therapy--constitute an opportunity for growth, and my practice is dedicated to helping patients achieve that growth in all areas: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. My methods are holistic and eclectic, and include work with significant others and family members. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which client and therapist work together for the client's growth.
Having over thirty years of experience has given me an eclectic approach, individually tailored to each client. While supportive and insight oriented, I also favor cognitive and behavioral approaches with an overall systemic viewpoint. My techniques include hynpnosis, EMDR, individual, couples, and family therapy.
My comfortable homey office and adorable little dog help new clients feel immediately at home. Clients have told me that I am easy to talk to, down to earth and have a common-sense approach. I have helped people of all ages and backgrounds as well as training other therapists.
