I am a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years experience, specializing in the treatment of PTSD, trauma, and symptoms related to distressing events. I enjoy getting to know clients, developing an increased understanding of them; where they have been, where they are, and where they want to go. I am committed to helping clients. I am trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and serve as the North Alabama EMDRIA Regional Coordinator.
When a person experiences trauma, it can change the way they feel about themselves or the world around them. EMDR has been used for over twenty years and is a recommended therapy for PTSD (Post traumatic Stress Disorder). EMDR has been used to treat trauma, distressing events and other problems.
